Health and Fitness

Macmillan Cancer Support have launched their Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning fundraising event for 2012 and it looks like it is off to great start. As you may have seen we created a widget that would help raise awareness and have a bit of fun at the same time. If you haven’t “Rated Your Roast” yet the you still can and tweet out what your coffee says about you.  Here’s a look at some of the amazing events that people have organised around the country.

At the moment if you go to the Macmillan Coffee Morning site you can see that the amount raised so far has already broken £4 million which is an amazing effort. Below are some of the great images that people have been sharing on Twitter.

Delicious cup cakes have been a  popular choice with people creating a huge range of colours and flavours to help raise money.

With events taking place all over the UK and even as far afield as Dubai it must be the biggest coffee morning in the world.

This looks like one of the most delicious selections of cakes and goodies that I have ever seen. I am sure that there was very little left over.

We made a staggering £1157 for our @ #coffeemorning last Friday @! Thank you so much. http://t.co/JWhnQOVQ

This is the biggest amount that we have seen Tweeted about so far, a massive congratulations to all of those involved in organising and those who went along and had some coffee and cake.

We have put together a storify looking at the events that have been going on in a bit more depth, with great pictures and videos from some of the amazing events that have been going on.

If you ran an event and want to let us know how it went you can tweet at us, @CalmYourBeans or leave a message in the comments section below.
