It happened all so suddenly; I was stretching before my first five a side game for 2 months when it happened. I’m only 23, I’m too young not to be able to touch my toes.
It’s time to get fit. I go running twice during the weekends but it’s obviously doing nothing for my flexibility. So what now? It’s time to get physical, physical.
Stuck for ideas as what to do exactly, I remember seeing a DVD for Ryan Giggs, the Manchester United footballer. Despite being 38, he’s still able to get around the park. What’s his secret? Yoga.
Yes. I remember he released a Yoga DVD; he swears it’s helped prolong his career. Apparently it’s helped him run faster and reduce those niggling hamstring injuries. Yoga for guys? Really?
Well, September is National Yoga Month (Is there anything left that doesn’t have a month dedicated to it?) so I guess there’s no better time than the present. And yoga was originally practiced only by men way back when. So don’t mind me, I’m off to buy a mat and get my downward dog on!
