Hello and welcome to another round up of events and ideas that are taking place this month. Hopefully with the summer coming in we will be able to get out that little bit more and enjoy some of the outdoor events taking place this month. However, if things continue to be decidedly grey and dull there are plenty of things going on to keep you entertained.
First up we are just in time to catch Carers Week. This lasts over the first week of the month and gives thanks to all the people who volunteer for charities in helping others less fortunate than them. The week is organised between eight major charities who use this time to say thanks to the six million people who take the time to care for others. It is a great opportunity to help raise awareness about caring opportunities and also what support and services are needed for carers. A really worthwhile week.

This month we can also give thanks to a very special someone who puts up with almost anything we do no matter how stupid. Yes, it is Fathers Day a time to say thanks for the dads who help, teach and guide us. The day its self is on the 17th which is a week and a bit away so there is still plenty of time for you to hunt out a present and card.

For Sports fans there is the Euro 2012 Football finalsthat will be kicking off tomorrow. This is the 14th time the competition has been played and it will be the first time that it is being held in Poland and Ukraine. If football is not your cup of tea looking towards the end of the month we see Wimbledon take place. One of the most iconic tennis tournaments will start on the 25th and goes on until the 8th of July, who knows perhaps Andy Murray might bring the trophy home this year.
For something a little bit different it is English Wine Week between the 2nd – 10th. Although not that renowned for wine growing there are over 400 wineries within the UK producing over 30 different wine varieties so there are bound to be some gems in there. So when you are grabbing a bottle of wine for the weekend why not try something new and try something that is made a little closer to home.
These are just a couple of events that are happening this month we are sure that you will have hundreds of suggestions for events that are taking place over the coming weeks.
