Easter Fun and Games!

Fun

As you can probably tell everyone in the Calm Your Beans office is getting very excited about Easter, and it’s not just because of the bank holiday and the excuse to eat chocolate…honest! There are plenty of other fun things to do to enjoy the Easter weekend. With games to be played, crafts to make and baking to be done there is something for everyone; it’s no wonder people go nuts for this holiday. (The long weekend does help though) So to get everybody in the mood for chocolate fuelled fun filled Easter weekend here are a few ideas for fun and games this Easter.

Easter egg Hunt:

So to start us off, what is Easter without a good Easter egg hunt? An Easter egg hunt is a great way to make Easter eggs even more fun than they already are. Egg hunts don’t just have to be for the kids. Why not get all your friends to enjoy the fun of Easter. Hide Easter Eggs anywhere that is easy for you, your local park could be a good place for a hunt. Then all you have to do is send clues to all your friends with group text messages and let them fight it out to be the first to crack the clues and find the Easter eggs!

Egg Rolling:

Why is this strange tradition fun I here you ask? Because watching things roll down hills is fun – simple. Sometimes they roll into each other which can be amusing, especially if they explode and once you’ve gotten bored of rolling eggs down the hill you can roll yourself down too. That bit is probably the most fun so you can be forgiven for not bothering with the egg bit and just rolling down hills for a few hours if you want, why not, it’s a bank holiday!

Easter Recipes:

Everyone knows Easter is about chocolate, but if you have had your fill of chocolate eggs why not try out some Easter baking? You could whip up a batch of hot crossed buns or if you fancy something a little different why not try out a traditional recipe from around the world. This Italian Easter bread looks great!

Egg Dying:

Easter craft is one of the most fun things to do as a kid, glue, crepe paper; my favourite thing was always painting eggs; I wasn’t allowed to dye them in case I got dye on the dining table but there are so many cool things to try out when dying eggs. Now we are all grownups I think it’s time to give egg dying ago, who’s going to tell me off for getting dye on my own table! There are loads of tutorials online for cool ways to dye your eggs, my favourite is in the picture below. I think the best thing about these “tie” dyed Easter eggs is no dining tables are at risk of being ruined, just some silk ties!
