February 14th in the city that never sleeps offers endless options – be it a romantic walk in Central Park, an idyllic cruise down the Hudson River or shopping for diamonds at Tiffany’s, 5th Avenue,  you won’t find a more perfect place to take your loved one.

NYC is also home to some of the most iconic movie scenes – ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and of course, ‘When Harry Met Sally’.

Not up for walking, then try out horse and carriage ride through Central Park. It really is as good as it looks in the movies. Snuggle under a blanket together as you do one of the most romantic things NYC has to offer.

Lunch

For lunch, you should go for a romantic lunch at the River Café. Not only does it have stunning views of Brooklyn Bridge, but the food is out of this world – a perfect spot for you 2 lovebirds.

Afternoon

Heading back to mid-town, take a wander along to the Boat House in Central Park. Overlooking the lake you can sit drinking a hot chocolate, or take an idealistic boat ride through the lake itself. Watch as the ducks, swans and other wildlife play blissfully around you. This spot is a unique blend of peacefulness in amongst the huge sky scrapers and hustle of the city.

A must stop is to the Rockafeller Center – one of the most iconic destinations in New York; home of the Ice Rink, Radio City and plenty of café’s, that’s if it’s an authentic cup of NYC coffee you want. You’ll never be short of things to do here.

Dinner

After a dreamy day of sightseeing, romantic gestures and iconic activities, a dinner in one of New York’s oldest Italian restaurants is a perfect way to dine out; the Barbetta Restaurant. The exquisite interior incorporates a chandelier owned by the Italian Royal family at one point, offering a wonderful setting for a classic New York Date.

After Dinner

With countless fantastic shows on offer, no Romantic Trip to New York would not be complete without a visit to Broadway; Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story and Wicked just a few of the love stories to see.

After the show, there is no other way to end Valentine’s day in New York that emulating the unforgettable final scene in one of the most memorable love stories of all time; Sleepless in Seattle. Gaze out over the beautifully lit Manhattan from the top observation deck on the Empire State Building – perfect finish to a perfect day.
