Well it’s that time again, when I come around and give you all a much needed dose of cute!
If this week belongs to anyone in the internet meme arena, it belongs to Oskar – the blind kitten. He is so cute, he stars in not one but TWO viral videos this week! And yes – they are both pretty adorable…
Oskar plays with his first toys
Oskar was adopted back in July. The day after his owners brought him home from the shelter, they filmed this video. As Oskar is blind, they filled his toys with bells so he could hear where they were – and as a result was able to play with them just as easily as any sighted cat could.
If you’re not in tears by the time this video is over, you have a heart of stone.
Oskar vs. hairdryer
This is the second video starring Oskar, the adorable blind kitten. In this film he tries to attack the air coming from a hairdryer – definitely one of the cutest things you’ll see today!
Pugs play football
But let’s move swiftly on from blind kittens to sporty pugs.
I never had pugs down as an athletic sort of dog breed, but I obviously stand corrected. These pugs seem to enjoy having a kick about in the back garden, pausing only to wait as their owner fetches the ball when they punt it over the fence.
Lemur loves scratches
Okay, so you probably won’t see a Lemur on every cute list, but this is pretty adorable. The lemur raises his arms and waits expectantly for rubs… and enjoys every minute of it.
Kitten says ‘yum yum yum’ while eating
Now I don’t know about you, but I personally find videos of animals ‘talking’ quite creepy. But, the consensus in the CYB offices was that this was cute, so I am bowing to the demands of the majority and putting it in.
Lovely owl
Even though they’re not the cutest species out there, owls are one of my favourite animals, so it was inevitable I would feature them on the cute list eventually.
I just love the look on this owl’s face when it gets stroked… while ‘jealous owl’ looks on scornfully.
Never mind, hopefully Jealous Owl got his turn eventually.
