Fitness is a part of people’s everyday routine and with so many ways for people to exercise their has been an increase in the number of strange fitness activities. Here’s a rundown on some of the slightly stranger fitness regimes.
Many of us when younger will have picked up a hoolahoop and played with it for hours, well if you were any good you would do it for hours. This childhood toy has been picked up as Hoopnotica and is described as taking hula hooping to the next level like it needed a next level. Of course this originated in Los Angeles around 2004, you can check it out here.
I have been told ridiculous fur boots are optional.
Yoga has been around for forever and it is widely thought of as a very beneficial practice for body and mind. There are many different types of yoga but the latest one to kick off, again, in the good old US of A is Flow Yoga or Flo Yo for those more intimate with it. It takes the yoga premise then puts it on the water, I am thinking that the addition of water will increase the amount of control to balance but still.
The next fitness craze is again from America, there appears to be a trend forming here. Again this is another variation on yoga but anti-gravity yoga?? Known as Cocooning it not only is good for you but it also makes you taller. Now that sounds like a winner to me.
Fitness is serious…..I think. Known as the Hawaii chair, with the slogan if you can sit you can get fit. It will appeal to those of us that are not energetic enough to go anti-gravity cocooning. Here is Ellen taking it for a test drive.
I wish that we could all have these in our offices, would lead to a much healthier and happier workforce.
That is just a quick look at what people will do to try and find a new way of getting their workout to new levels.
Do you have any unusual exercise regimes? Have you tried any of the above? Let us know in the comments.
